The boys decorated these candlestick holders, then we burned candles and measured how far they burned in an hour, marked off other candlesticks, and made these candlestick timekeepers, as part of our Middle Ages study. The boys were surprised at how well it worked, but they wanted to find a way to fix an "alarm" at the end of an hour or something.

Uh, don't be. Came from a Hands and Hearts kit. :-) I didn't do a thing except keep the 5yo from putting the sequins in his nose . . .
